Good to know
Taking photos that print well
A phone camera is all you need. These four habits make the difference between a scan-quality page and a blurry one.
- Lay the art flat near a window in daylight. Skip the flash, it leaves a glare spot.
- Hold the phone straight above the paper so the edges look square.
- Fill the frame with the art and a little table around it. The book shows the whole piece.
- Do a school year at a time. 24 to 40 pieces makes a book that gets reread.
Questions
Everything else is on the main questions page.
Will you crop my kid’s drawing?
No. Art is always fit inside the page with a clean white border, whatever shape the paper is.
What goes on the blank pages?
Books need at least 24 interior pages. If you have fewer pieces, we add a few “room for the next masterpiece” pages at the end.
Can I order copies for grandparents?
Yes. Set the number of copies on the options step. They ship together to one address.
